PME Plastic Hollow Dowels are used for Large or heavy tiered cakes require additional support so they don’t damage the cake they’re sat on. Hollow pillars / dowels provide stable and strong support for both tiered fruit and sponge cakes.

Hollow pillars are also often used to produce a gap between tiered cakes that can be filled with fresh or sugar flowers and other decorations.

These hollow pillars / dowels are approximately 20mm or 2cm in diameter.
